Long awaited post on sadness

2 weeks ago i was living in dread when the sports headlines read "Henry to Barca?" And i thought to myself. Yeah of course clubs will be going for the great Thierry Henry. And it happens every year that there are offers for him to leave Arsenal. But as usual i would brush it off. But as the days went, the man that made me fall in love with the game and support the team I love is leaving for another club.

What a day it was. And of course you will get all the sms's going.. "So how?", "Arsenal is going down!" Even the occasional .. "Would you like to support my team?" Yes it's true the man is a great player and will be missed. And definetely the team will feel the pinch of missing one of the best strikers in the world. But we all know this. The team is not made of one man.



So with the new season coming upon us, I will be looking forward to seeing my favorite team move forward and prove their worth.

The only consolation I have is that Henry leaves to my favorite Spanish team, although I never am able to catch them playing, instead of to another English team.

So Thierry, thanks for the memories man. You will be missed.

Transformers Review

Ok so I was one of the lucky people to watch the premiere of Transformers. I just got to say that Michael Bay and Spielberg teaming up was amazing. The CGI was great. They really made the Transformers come to life. But i must admit i did not enjoy watching it that night cos i was real tired. And it was 2 and half hours long. But all in all you got to check it out. As i plan to do so on another day when i get enough rest.

But here's the best part. Not only was it awesome to hear Optimus Primes voice again and see him transform, you get an extra eye candy with Megan Fox

Girl Power Camp

I had to host a Seventeen Magazine event called "Girls Power Camp". Basically it was about 250 teenage girls across the country who were handpicked to come to this camp and on one of the nights they had a talent show and a small tea dance kind of party which was dj'ed by me.

But when i walked into the hall, i was real surprised that the organisers were not kidding when they said the girls were living in the hall that the party was going to be.


These are all their clothes and towels that were on the other end of the hall. Other than the sound dudes i was the only guy in that hall of girls. Ordinarily you would be thrilled but i was more surprised than anything else.

Sad!

This is real sad. Some chinese students were having some sort of recruitment thing in their school canteen and then there was havoc. This happened in UPM. Take a look and make your own judgement. To me it's just sad and shows where this country is going.

Some of the students were real juvenile.

The things i do for radio

In case you did not know. My morning show on Mix has a segment called "Who wears the pants" where a guy and a girl compete by answering questions about the opposite gender. The winner gets 1 point for the gender. At the end of an allocated time the losing gender has to perform a stunt. Now the guys lost which meant I had to wax my chest on live radio. Not only did we put it on radio but we video taped it as well.

So to all the men who contributed in my pain. Thank you. Word of advice. Don't wax your chest. Cos it does hurt. Take a look at the videos and amuse yourselves.

DJ Pietro is back!

Lots of people might not know this about me but I used to be a club DJ and I still mess around a little bit on it. In fact i do a non stop show every now and then on MixFM every weekends called the "Retro Mix".

But it's time to get out and do it again in clubs. I already have a few gigs lined up and will keep everyone posted on it. But if you know of any clubs or events that need a dj then let me know. Of course i only do it part time. I still would like to have a day job.

Just in case you need to know the genre of music. Well it's retro R&B, retro hip-hop, hip hop and progressive house. So let me know ok

Season is over!

WHat to do for the next few months? With the EPL season over there is not much to do but check out the transfer window. If you don't know what I am talking about, it's about football. So if you don't want to know i suggest you close this window now.

Arsenal had a dissapointing season this time round. Even their Coach Arsene Wenger said so. I must admit i agree. Sad. But thats the beauty of football. At the end of the season you start fresh again. With all the optimism in the world to watch your team go into battle.

And next year there is EURO!

But here is my prediction. Like every other season. No matter who wins the season... there will be new fans. Mark my words. In a few months everyone will be wearing an MU jersey. Watch! It's weird I have never seen so many Chelsea jerseys till about a year ago after they won the premiership. Sad. But hey to the true fans of each club.. I salute you. Good luck next season!
