Merry Belated

Ok first of all, apologies for no updates. My place in Penang does not have WIFI and today is the first day I had some time to myself.

Anyways, updates are pretty bland. It was Christmas, it was celebrated and now it's over. Now to look forward to the new year.

By the way this weekend I will be in Queensbay Mall in Penang for a live broadcast from 12-4 pm So if you are in the area do come down and check it out.

Other than that life returns to normal on the 1st. But with a slight change. IF you want to know what it is, tune in to mixfm from 6 -10 am. Yes there is a surprise for all.

Pop Shuvit on Rolling Stones

As you might already know, I am a big fan of Pop Shuvit and also are good friends with them and I feel that they are currently the best and one of the most hard working bands in our country. They have done a lot for Malaysian music, and have done things outside of Malaysia that we are not even aware of. I hope that you will take the time to read this mass email that i received and do what needs to be done to help them. Patience

I believe in patience. It's just a small thing I do. Which is always try to be patient. Although i try and remember this word, somedays i am only human I get restless with my life. So in order to try and remember to patient. I had it tattooed on my body. My right leg to be exact.


There is a well known Chinese saying - "The character for patience has a knife over the heart". In other words, it is unwise to provoke a persons patience.

However the truly patient heart is a fir one. In the character, the "knife blade", bears down on the "heart", yet the heart perseveres and endures.

It can also be translated to "tolerance". The chinese language makes no distinction between this attribute and "patience" for the firm heart is also a tolerant one.

Tiger FC

A few weeks ago we had a small party in the house of Mupiahs. It's a normal thing. Tiger FC did a home party for MU vs Bolton. So they bring food, booze and the big screen LCD and you basically watch the game and win stuff. Lots of fun. So the night ended and we decided to take some pictures. Have fun.

Welcome to the weird side

OK i can't help but to blog and post some pics about this. Let me introduce you to one of my closest friends. His name is Robert. I call him my "Dawg"

I was in Bangi

Right so I been away in Bangi for the last couple of days for a radio programming seminar. It was nuts. Lots of work and lots of work. Trust me to anyone who thought these company getaways were relaxing and stuff. It wasn't. We got like 5 hours of sleep a day and it was always brain frying. But all in all i got a bigger understanding on radio in general.

Anyways I noticed lots of comments about Ryan Star and the thing he kept apologising about. Well we gave him a script to read out about downloading of music and how he is supposed to be against it. Well Ryan believes that he is not sure where he stands on the whole internet downloading of music and he feared that when he releases his new album he might offer it online for free. And that script would have made him feel redundant. We were very cool with him not doing it but he felt really bad, hence that is why he kept apologising.

He believes there is no more money to be made on physical CD sales anymore. And there is a lot of truth to that notion. I mean i been working in labels before and I know that this is very true. In the long run digital media is the way to go.

So i hope your questions have been answered.

I met Ryan Star pt.2

Ok so I met Ryan Star. I must admit i didn't know head or tail about the guy except he was one of the contestants for Rockstar Supernova. So once i knew i had to interview the guy Ihad to do my research on him and listen to his stuff. Must admit his music is pretty decent.

Anyway the day came that I had to interview him and honestly I din really look forward to it cos I didn't think i knew enough about the guy. So he showed up in the studio and he looked like he was in a real bad mood. I mean he looked tired and bothered. So I mentioned to the organisers to get him to chill out if not it won't be a god interview.

So the interview went on and i found out that he is actually a pretty decent and down to earth kind of guy. I mean it might be all the PR training he got but i genuinely saw him as a nice guy. We even had a problem about something we asked him to do and he didn't want to do it. And he apologised for it the whole night.

So anyways if you want to to know more then ask me cos I don't think all my readers are big Ryan Star fans so I shall not bore them.

Got very "intoxicated" at the Breakers 9th anniversary party. Yes it was a sight not many people have seen.

Laineylashes had a surpise birthday party.

Arsenal whooped Liver"who?"'s butt. 3- 0 (sorry Sunil and Shaun)

Shaun now owes me a buffet dinner at Mandarin Oriental cos that team lost to ARSENAL!!!

Qualified for Foosball 10th Nationals. Doubles partnering Chia Soo. Can't play singles this year cos just found out i can't get leave. it's on the 1st to the 4th of December.

Will be turning 30 on the 6th of December *hint*

Living in A Box

Would you live in a box for 7 days to win RM50,000. Well these guys would.

First lets get some details. They can't bathe they can't even brush their teeth.

Heres what happens. If you guys go down to The Curve, head on down to the concourse area. You will see a huge glass tank and in there you will see 4 people chilling out. They got to stay in there for 7 days and try and decorate their rooms. The winner walks away with 50K.

Each day they win challenges which wins them money or rewards. Like massages or a nice meal. But they got to eat and sleep in their respective boxes. Of course we give them toilet breaks every 2 hours. It's quite a sight. It's like going to the zoo but humans are on display.

Ryan Star is being interviewed by me!

Ok if you were an ardent follower of Rockstar Supernova, you would have thought this guy would have won the contest. But from what my sources tell me he was 4th or 5th.

Anyway he is coming to KL and I am gonna be interviewing him on my show. Honestly I am creeped out cos I never watched Rockstar Supernova and until a few hours ago I had no idea what he looked like.

So here is the problem. I have done some research on the guy and his promotional company has been nice enough to send me information on the guy and even a pre listening copy of his CD called "Songs from the Eye of an Elephant"*no comment*.

But then i sat back and realised. I don't want to ask him stuff that people already know or stuff that every other DJ is gonna be asking. So i am looking for any Ryan Star fans or Rockstar Supernova fans to help me out.

What would you ask Ryan Star? I mean i am sure there are things that you guys know about that I have no idea about or that his management has not sent me.

The Creator of the Poon Man

You know him as the hot chick Adam C on Hitz.fm. I just know him as Adam. Yes he has so much time on his time that he created The Poon Man based on personal encounters with one of our friends. Ok the story is out. Adam is one imaginative guy with way too much time on his hands.

Anyway we were at a friends open house for Raya a few days ago and I asked her what to blog about. And she said "Just RANT".

So I am gonna try that today. Since i have a lot of rants that i never bothered to talk about.. well here goes. Trust me it could be a long read.

Malaysia Service Industry!

I mean c'mon how hard is it to have service with a smile. I have gone to tons of fast food outlets and even tho here is about 20 ppl behind the counter there is only 1 counter open. And everyone else is just hanging around. I mean the least they can do is act busy.

And drive throughs! I mean isn't it an alternative to make things go faster. But no. I waited a whole 20 minutes waiting to get to my turn. Here is what the damn cashier did

1. Took the order
2. Punched it in
3. Asked for payment
4. Waited for me to get money out of my wallet
5. Took the money
6. Punched it in
7. Got my change
8. Proceded to make my order
9. Waited for my order
10. And the finally i got my food.

I mean after taking my order he could have made the order so while i was getting the money ready he could have done step 8 - 10.

ANd if you are in a restaurant, especially classy ones... the least you could is train your staff to know how to pronounce items on the menu o rmaybe just know how to smile instead of tossing you the menu and going "Yes?"

Nice guy always finishes last

I just got some upsetting news. A few months ago some friends of mine got into some trouble and today i found out they thought I was the one who started it and i was the one adding the fire to it. But in fact I was the one trying to protect them and stuff. It saddens me when things like this happen.
